Digication

Functionality & Usability

 

Create hyperlinks to external and internal sites

(INCLUDES) Create a hyper-linked listing of students' portfolios
Embed YouTube videos 
Embed social media tools such as Twitter feeds 
Incorporate Google tools such as documents, spreadsheets and presentations 
Allows students to comment on faculty members' portfolios 
Allows students to comment on each other's portfolios 
Customize privacy settings on each portfolio 
Users (Students & Faculty) can create an unlimited number of portfolios 
Users can set privacy settings for each individual portfolio they create making them private only to them, private within the John Jay Digication system, fully public, or somewhere in between. 

 Users can take their portfolios with them

-- alumni have free access to edit their portfolios
-- students transferring out to other institutions using Digication can move their portfolios with them (and incoming students,

especially CUNY transfers, can bring their portfolios with them to John Jay)

-- faculty can collaborate on portfolio sites across campuses
-- students and alumni can download zip files of their sites and upload them to another hosted solution of their choice
-- students can partner directly with Digication and pay $20 per year to maintain their account
