 Disclaimer
DegreeWorks is an advising tool for course planning and degree progress.

This is not your academic transcript nor is it an official notification of completion of degree/certificate requirements. Changes made to your official John Jay record will take at least 24 hours to be reflected in your DegreeWorks audit report.

Undergraduate students who are using this DegreeWorks audit report as an advising tool for registration are encouraged to visit an Academic Counselor at the Counseling Office before registering.

Federal and State Financial Aid Guidelines require that students receiving financial aid must be enrolled in courses each semester that are applicable to their degree. Note that each major allows a prescribed maximum number of credits. For further information, log on to the Financial Aid web page @ http://www.jjay.cuny.edu/financialaid

To be eligible for the associate degree, candidates must complete at least 60 credits (for transfer students - 50% of the 60 credits must be completed at John Jay). To be eligible for the baccalaureate degree, candidates must complete at least 120 credits (for transfer students - at least 50% percent of their major and 30 credits at John Jay).

To be eligible for graduation:

    • All undergraduate degree candidates must have completed all prescribed courses, passed all required tests, fulfilled the requirements of their major, and achieved at least a C average (2.0 overall grade point average).

    • Graduate degree candidates must have achieved at least a B average (3.0 overall grade point average).

  • Combined degree candidates (BA/MA, BS/MA, BA/MPA, BS/MPA) must have achieved at least a 3.5 overall grade point average.
Undergraduate students may not be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program unless they have passed or have been exempted from all CUNY Skills Assessment Tests.

Upper-level Interdisciplinary/Thematic courses may be used to satisfy designated requirements for most undergraduate majors. Please check with the Office of Interdisciplinary/Thematic Studies Program for additional information.

All candidates for graduation must file for graduation at the Registrar's Office. Please check the academic calendar for important deadlines. For further information, log on to the Registrar's web page @ http://www.jjay.cuny.edu/registrar
