Accept Me

There’s no other way to say this, but to say, we need change and acceptance. It is vital that we as human beings accept people for who they are, how they look, and their decisions. Unless these things harm us, it is none of our business, nor do we have the right to discriminate against them. Luckily today we can show these girls the truth through videos, song and talks. There is this song by Little Mix called “Little Me” and it talks about standing up and that each and everyone one of us is wonderful. Through the use of technology and media we can spread the word about acceptance and change the backward way of what is accepted.

We must be soldiers in today society so that others may see us accepting ourselves and know that it is OK to love ourselves the way we were made. Love your hair and yourself because it is who you are. Never let anyone tell you what beautiful is and if someone does not want to accept you, then they are not worth your time. Once the world can accept that are many different types of races and with different races comes many different types of hair such as; curls, waves, straight, coils, braid, etc. Everyone needs to embrace who they are and love themselves unconditionally, because there is no greater love, then of your own. No one’s opinion of you is important as long as you don’t allow it to be. We are today soldiers in fighting against any type of discrimination. So, the next time a hater has something to say just tell them: “I woke up like dis, flawless”
