"We learn wisdom from failure much more than from success. We often discover what will do, by finding out what will not do; and probably he who never made a mistake never made a discovery." - Samuel Smiles

In this issue, first year college students share with the world what matters to them most. They allocate moments in their lives where they discover either something about themselves or their surroundings. With that said, we gave this issue of Digital Spectrum, the title Discovery, because these first year college students not only elaborate on social justice issues, lyrics, and family matters, but they also discover the importance of using digital media to get their message across. These digital media vary from the creation of websites, videos, voice-overs, and images.
