“Today you are you,  that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you!”  Dr. Seuss, just like many writers, has always inspired me to be myself and to uncover everyone else's flair and let them shine. I believe everyone has something to offer in this world and each and every one of us can make a difference, whether big or small. My name is Christina Tsetsakos and I’m here, along with my other colleagues, to bring talented young writers to the table!

If there is one thing I’m known for it is never giving up on anyone; I always see the best in people. It’s become a habit to put a smile on someone’s face. I’ve been living on Staten Island all my life but my heart has always been in the city. As a little girl, I knew that the city life is where I belong and so I’m currently attending John Jay College of Criminal Justice. I was raised in a traditional Greek household which means a lot of food and plenty of windex! I am grateful to say that I've always had a family who believed in me and always supported my dreams. I decided not too long ago that if there is one thing I wanted to pursue, it is to get a degree in Forensic Psychology! So here I am, taking baby steps each and everyday to get there. 

I'm looking forward to getting a PhD in the future but until then, books and art are the two things that will get me there! Growing up, I always had a book in my hand since reading was always my escape. Just like George R.R. Martin once said: “A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one.” I’ve been drawing since I was able to hold a pencil! I love being able to make just about anything into something. Being involved with visual arts is a part of me. I spent my high school years in my school’s visual arts academy with the hopes of majoring in art. Although I’m not currently pursuing it, I plan to in the future! The world is your canvas so go out holding your paintbrush up high, ready to create a beautiful masterpiece along the way!
