This page features Christina's work on Seaworld. She delivers a shocking report on what happens inside of a seemingly friendly and all loving setting. She writes: "Some people say it’s a life changing experience; the tricks and stunts these creatures do are almost magical. What many individuals don’t know is what happens behind the scenes of the killer whale performances. They are taken from their natural habitats and put in collections of tanks filled with chlorinated water..." Click here to visit the site featuring this report.

This page holds Stephanie's work about modern day slavery. She gives us a mindboggling overview of what slaves, in a world where many think slavery is a thing of the past, are facing. She writes: "Now wrap your head around this: There are more victims of slavery today than ever before. It is estimated that there are at least 27 million victims in which 60,000 of those are located in the United States. 60,000 is quite a monumental number and it only implies one thing – slavery occurs right in front of our eyes and we are uninformed and unwilling to do something about the matter." This page features Luc's work on open source hardware and software. He hopes for a better future where intellectual proptery will be no more. He says: "Makers, hobbyists, and the entire world needs open source technology. It allows for people to tinker away with whatever product they bought, and eventually maybe even improve upon it and make it available to people who couldn’t buy the original. The open source movement is going to give way to creations that we can't even dream of." Click here to see the page that holds his work.

This page features Denice's work on sexual abuse. She showcases where to get help, find support, and how to join in fighting sexual abuse. She writes: "Many issues that occur in today's society are hushed away and never mentioned again. Sexual abuse is an issue that receives ignorant and negative attitudes. Every 2 minutes, an innocent person is sexually assaulted. Every single person that is sexually abused does not deserve it and is never asking for it. Victims are afraid to share their experiences or feelings because of the negative reaction and excuses they will hear..." Click here to see the page that holds her work.

In her digital story entitled Keep Moving Forward, Nicole tells us a hopeful tale of how she will succeed. She tells us of her worries, but she assuages those worries with aspirations. She says: "'Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen' Hebrews 11:1. So what do you hope for? But one does not need religious faith to have hope. You just need faith in yourself. This proverb is what I live by because it’s a life lesson I learned the hard way. Just because things might not seem to be going your way at the moment, doesn’t mean things won’t turn out for the better and the way they’re meant to."
