The museums of New York City are legendary.  Let yourself experience the full weight and joy of what is available to you. The point of this exercise is to choose a museum and exhibit that speaks to your interest.  In particular, the special exhibits that show in NYC museums are known across the world.  Consider visiting one of these special exhibits and writing about it.  Be prepared that this decision will drive traffic to your website; those not fortunate enough to be in NYC will be given the opportunity to experience the exhibit through YOUR eyes.  Click here for an an example from Professor Carmen's website where she discusses Mickalene Thomas whose most extensive exhibit happened at the Brooklyn Museum of Art.

There are so many museums and different kinds of museums in NYC. From the Transit Museum to the numerous children's museum, you should all be able to find something that you like.  Go to the museum's website and find the pay-as-you-wish or free days.  You do NOT need to be rich to experience the world!

Your Tasks

Find one specific exhibit at a museum of choice.  You will need to do two things.

First, describe the exhibit with as much detail as you can. Provide background information based on the museum's website or brochure material.

Second, describe the impact that the exhibit has on you.  What did you learn?  What did you think of?  Why?
