You are learning two things in these sessions: 1) how to work the technology; 2) how to write for the web, rather than a teacher or classroom.

 

Each webpage that you create must do all of the following in order to fully utilize the technology:

  • include an image or video (this makes your page less like a sheet of paper)
  • use at least one weblink (this shows that you are having an intellectual dialogue with others)
  • be written for a large audience (when you write for a tecaher or class, it makes you look juvenile)
  • format your writing and images so that it works with the genres of web writing (again, it makes you look juvenile and unskilled otherwise)

Do whatever it takes to make your webpages look, sound, and be interesting!
