This website was designed in fall 2015 at John Jay College at the City University of New York by a group of college students enrolled in a course called "Introduction to Gender Studies" with Dr. Carmen Kynard (click here for the course website and curriculum). Every semester, a group of John Jay students adds to the site and keeps the fire going. The title, design, colors, organization, entries, and the general look/vibe were all (re)designed by each semester of students in class as part of final conversations about the role of gender studies.
