FinAid

 

FinAid was created in 1994 as a public service. It offers tolls and tips for those seeking financial aid. It gives you helpful advice and facts about loans, financial aid, how to save, and military aid. This site doesn't just give you infortmation on financnial aid; it points you in the right direction. It gives you the applications to fill out for financial aid. It directs you to college selection tools. It guides you to job and internship oppotunity tools. This site even offers a helpful calculator tool to help you plan out spending for college. 

 

This website is an example of what is being done correctly for students and their families. It gives you a myriad of resources to help you make a decision for college and for your financial future. If you're looking to take out loans or get financial aid, I'd go here. It has a lot of resources that can answer many of your questions.

The Insitute For College Access and Success

 

The Institute For College Access and Success(TICAS) is a website that gives students access to a myriad of tools that will help them in both their college decision and their student debt. TICAS created The Project on Student Debt. TICAS is a non-profit organization that hopes to make the whole college process easier for students. They do their own analysis, research, and advocacy for students. They hope to make both college application and the student loan process as easy as possible for both students and their families.

 

This website is wonderful and an example of what this country needs more of. The more initiatives that start up like this one, the better off students will be. this site also offers the latest news about things from FAFSFA to new bills being pushed out by the Whitehouse. They even have a database of for-profit, non-profit, private, and public schools across the country. If you want to get some information on colleges in the United States and find out about student loans, this is a good place to start.

Project on Student Debt

 

The Project on Student Debt has a wonderful website that increases public awareness about student loans in America. The institute is a non-profit organization which serves the families and students of the United States. Their aim is to find cost effective solutions for students and their families to be able to afford a college education. They keep their readers up to date with important information, and they also bring attention to certain initiatives and petitions that will aid the American student and their family.

 

This website is something of a god-send. It arms unaware Americans with the knowledge to be able to better afford college. Not all of these solutions are perfect, and they might not work the same for you as they have for others. But, they are spreading the word that there are some ways to be able to afford college even with the crushing debt that some students might face coming out of college.

Student Debt Crisis

 

StudentDebtCrisis.org is a non-profit organization with the hopes of an affordable education for all students in the United States. This website brings students together. IT offers a place for each person to share their own story and to read the countless others out there. This site features dozens upon dozens of testimonials by students across the country who are suffering from the college debt that they have received. This website also offers helpful information in fighting against studnet debt by giving you petitions to sign and bills to call your local government representative. 

 

The whole point of this website is to bring students together to share their hardships. It lets students empathize so that they can see that they are not alone. It brings awareness to the entire subject of student when you scroll through the entire page of testimonials. It puts an image in your head of the vast number of people who have accumulated student debt in the pursuit of getting a higher education to live the American Dream.
