Jilotepec, Guerrero is in the southern part of Mexico that is really close to Acapulco. This is the place that my mother was born and raised until she went to the United States at the age of 19 (like my father). Although less visited than Matamoros, my family sometimes makes the 15-hour drive from Matamoros to Jilotepec but it is done rarely because of how dangerous and risky it is with the voladeros on the side of the mountains.
