On July 10th, 1995, another one of god’s creations was put on this planet called, Earth. A new life had emerged and it all started in a hospital room in Booth Memorial Hospital, Queens, New York. A newborn son was born with a father named Manuel Nunes and a mother with the name of Josephine Nunes. The newborn was given the name of, Christian-Daniel Bugay Nunes. He had grown to become one strong individual with an exciting childhood and a rough teenage upbringing due to terrible and tragic occurrences…Starting with the unfortunate divorce of his parents, to moving once again, to the tragic death of his mother. The only thing that kept him standing was a strong support system of a big family and the belief that god would not give Christian anything he cannot handle. There are no defining words to describe the experiences he had gone through. It was worse than the worst. But it was not until the start of his senior year at Sachem East when he discovered his strong interest in writing. In the past, he was not exactly the best English student. He found English to be useless and boring with typical reading and writing. Once Mr. Glen Monsen became his English 12 teacher, he saw writing as a way of escaping these tough struggles of life. Taking the thoughts and emotions that were trapped within, then transferring the thoughts with ink on paper, and creating works of writing. Everyone has a point where they feel like life is falling apart. Like a man jumping off of a cliff, there’s always a bottom. Like a sinking ship, there’s always a bottom. It works the same way. No matter how far it may be, when life begins to fall, there’s always going to be a bottom. And there is no other direction to go towards, except to move up. Instead of looking at all of the negative aspects, he tries his hardest to see the positive perspectives of life. He has graduated high school and left those experiences behind, but are not forgotten. He is destined to work hard with motivation. He refuses to give up.

Christian Nunes was born to succeed…
