For my ePortfolio, The color scheme I chose was black, white, and a small hint on green. I chose these colors because black is my favorite color and it is a sleek color. I think bright colors are annoying and somewhat ostentatious. The banner I chose was a black and white picture of manhattan. The reason why I chose this picture because the city is a brand new lifestyle to me. Growing up, I lived in upstate New York and on Long Island. Acquiring this new change in living in Manhattan has always been something I wanted to experience. I enjoy traveling and experiencing new things out there and so far, living in Manhattan is very enjoyable and interesting. However, I do not like waiting for the bus and for the subway... The title I chose is called, "My World In my Words." I chose this title because I believe that writing can be used to describe my life in great detail. The way I see it, I see writing as a way to escape and bleed out your emotions that are trapped inside of the mind. I see writing as a way of conveying my feelings and getting things out of my system. I like to call it, "crying through a pen." My ePortfolio banner and title do have a connection. I enjoy writing about both positive and negative emotions that I may have at a given time. For example, living in the city of new york, it is very exciting. Being in a beautiful school, towering skyscrapers rising above me, and the diverse community is something I really look forward to. I feel that I can easily write a poem on this new change of lifestyle!
