LatinasRepresent New York City Empowerment Luncheon

Despite the fact nearly 51 percent of Americans are women, and Hispanics constitute nearly 17 percent of the population, America’s Latinas are grossly underrepresented in elected office. Latinas are one of the fastest-growing populations in the United States, totaling more than 25 million. Yet, only 109 Latinas serve in elected office at state and national levels.

LatinasRepresent is ready for change! Junt@s, we can build a reflective democracy where everyone has a voice and seat at the table.

Join Hispanic Federation, National Hispanic Leadership Agenda (NHLA) and Political Parity for LatinasRepresent New York City Empowerment Luncheon to hear from inspiring Latina elected officials and a panel of young professionals on how you can help drive a national conversation about the need for Latina representation.

The event will take place on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 55 Exchange Place, 5th Floor, Suite 501, New York, NY.
