Background & Foreground: For today's class you read two autobiographical excerpts and have composed a free response to them. Before we discuss the themes and mechanics of the two pieces, you are going to swap your homework with a collaborator and then complete these steps: 

1) Read your collaborator's response to the readings.

2) Identify and write down in one sentence what your collaborator concentrated on in their response.

3) What did you learn from your collaborator's writing that wasn't in yours?
