What is rhetoric? An example of rhetoric is when at a restaurant, the server suggests, "Can I add some of our delicious sweet potato fries to your entree for a dollar more?" He is being very persuasive to the customer by the way he emphasizes “our delicious sweet potato fries.” It will get the customer to think about getting it since he would like to find out how delicious those fries are. Rhetoric is a persuasion. It seeks to see how and why people chose to persuade others and actually getting listened to while getting a positive feedback. Rhetorical appeals help to describe a persuasive person. People are persuaded by logic and facts.  Logos is the most important and powerful persuasion towards people since it can capture some one’s attention quickly.

Identification is being able to find similarities with others and not being affected with having a complete opposite opinion. If you do this the right way, you would have the right people to view your work. If you have the same interest, attitudes, or etc. as a reader, they would be more attracted to your work since they would relate to you. You would have a whole fan base that has the same ideals as yourself. Either if you mention your age, ethnicity, or how you were raised, this can all impact a reader. You want someone who is interested in the same thing for you to be able to persuade him or her in a better way. It is a major key idea is the act of rhetoric.

Repetition can be extremely important in your writing because a message you want to emphasize can be repeated over and over again and it will get buried in the viewers mind. But it can be really risky to do that since the viewer can sometimes get bored of the same message if you repeat it too much. But if you use repetition in your writing, it can really persuade a reader. There is a limit of how much is best to repeat a message though and that is three times and no more than that. That seems to be magic number when advertising a message. A hook would be very well needed to make the repetition better.

Kairos is saying something at the right timing. As you build up your writing, it should be a lead way to the main point of it and when the reader is ready for the main point, which is when the kairo comes in. You should not give all the information about something all in one shot. You should hold off on some important facts to get the reader more hooked. They would enjoy the anxiousness of the suspense. If you leave some information out in the open, readers would want to figure out what exactly is going on. So when they start asking themselves these questions, kairo would be used properly. It is extremely important when advertising a product because you need to capture the viewer’s attention in the amount of time you have. You cannot give away all the details in one shot because then the viewer would lose concentration. You have to make the steps one step at a time. Like show off the product first, then show some information on it, next you should show where you can it then lastly, show how much the product is. It gives the viewer the chance to take in the information one at a time. It is a good way to persuade people and it has been getting used for a long time.
